In an effort to make our own informational and marketing pieces more “green” we’ve taken our buyer’s and seller’s guides and essentially cut them in half. They still contain all of the same unique and valuable information as they always have, we’ve simply taken two full pages of text and shrunk them down to fit on a single page. We then formatted both documents to allow double sided printing.
We’ve slashed the paper “foot print” of our guides by 75% – 4 pages of information now fit on a single sheet of paper!
While this is great for Mother Earth and everyone’s pocket books, it can get a little tricky once you start to print out the materials, so we’ve put together this brief tutorial to guide you through the additional steps you’ll need to take to get everything looking right.
First, if you haven’t already done so, you’ll need to download the guide which is available here. Once you’ve saved this PDF file to your computer you’re going to open the file with the free Adobe Acrobat Reader software, which most every Internet connected computer already has. If you do not have this software, you may download your free copy here from Adobe’s website.
Now you’ll choose to print the document from the File > Print menu option at the top left of your screen. Once your print dialog screen has come up, you’ll need to choose to print only the odd numbered pages first. Below is an example image of the All/Even/Odd drop down selection from the print dialog – your individual screen and setting may differ slightly.

After you’ve printed all of the odd pages, you’re simply going to flip all of the printed pages over and repeat the step above, this time selecting only the even number pages. Depending upon your printer and how the page is fed you may or may not need to flip the pages over before placing them in the paper feed tray, and you may need to rotate the pages 180 degrees. It’s best to try printing just the first page, flipping it over, and then printing the second page to see if everything is lining up correctly.
After you’ve printed both the odd and even numbered pages, front and back, you can then fold the pages in half widthwise and staple down the center. You now have a perfectly formatted copy of our seller’s guide and you’ve used a fraction of the paper you would have regularly used to print out this entire document.
We appreciate you taking these quick additional steps to save your own money, and more importantly save a little piece of our planet in the process. If you have any problems downloading, viewing, or printing your guide please feel free to contact us and we will prepare a copy for you and mail it to your home.
Thanks so much for your interest in GreaterLansingHomeSearch.com, and we hope to be of additional service to you very soon.
